Slaughter cows and bulls fully steady.  Calf market very strong too, not rising as fast as it was but still noticeably higher in places. As of Friday CanFax reported that auction market volumes are down 16% year to date.  So, we’ve made up a little ground but only a few percent. I think everyone is beginning to realize that numbers are finally about to fall dramatically. Perhaps the futures are realizing that too as they continue to rally. A little early to say and lots of things can happen in the current economic and political environment but it certainly looks like a very strong Q1 2025 for feeder cattle.  Sure nice to see the snow too.
